Juicy Pork Dumplings
Succulent, crispy, juicy dumplings is a must in a repertoire of things that we should learn how to make. It is that perfect bite that is just wrapped so beautifully in a little wrapper. This recipe is a full proof dumpling recipe that anyone can make to please a crowd. It is tasty and delicious!
Ingredients
1 pack dumpling wrapper
1 lb ground pork (or protein of choice)
½ large carrot
½ onion
½ zucchini
3 green onion stalks
6 mushrooms
SEASONING INGREDIENTS:
2 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tbsp honey
½ tsp salt & pepper (or to taste)
1 tsp sesame oil
5 garlic cloves
DIPPING SAUCE:
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp rice vinegar
1 tsp honey
1 tsp water
1 tsp chili paste
Instructions
Start out by preparing your filling by mincing your carrot, onion, zucchini, green onion and mushroom. Add in your protein of choice and seasoning and give it a nice mix!
Grab a tsp of filling and add it to the center of wrapper. Wet half of one side. Fold over and pleat with your thumb.
Pan Fry until bottoms are brown, add some water, cover (~10 min), serve and Enjoy!
TIPS
Your protein can be precooked or raw. I find that using the raw filling allows you to have a more pliable dumpling to fold and mold.
When pleating, start by pinching the middle of the dumpling and fold three pleats from the right and I do the same for the left. Repeat until all filling is complete.
