Mango Salad Relish
Mango Salad is use more like a relish and condiment, but it is the perfect accompaniment to seafood or a nice seared piece of steak. It is refreshing and hits all the appropriate flavor profile notes to heighten your entrée. I personally love to eat it with fried or steamed fish.
Ingredients
1 unripe green mango
3 shallots
3 tbsp basil
3 tbsp cilantro
½ lime
3 tbsp fish sauce
1 tbsp agave or sugar
4 Thai chilis (if you like less spicy add less)
Instructions
Shred your green mango. Mince all your herbs and slice your shallots and Thai chilis very thinly. Cut and juice lime.
Add the prepped mango and aromatics to a bowl.
Add in your fish sauce, sugar, and lime juice to the ingredients and give it a nice mix. Add Thai chilis to taste.
Eat with steamed rice + fried chicken or fried fish and Enjoy!
