Sesame Garlic Chili Crisp Wontons
These sesame garlic wontons are my go to snack whenever I am craving a quick, easy, and delicious dumpling. I serve these simply boiled and what makes it scrumptious is the delicious sauce that the wontons swim in. It is very nutty, savory, spicy, and the perfect balance of tangy and sweet.
For these dumplings, I folded them into a rose bud shape. This shape is classic and resembles a rose before it blooms. I think it is one of the easier folds to achieve. You simply fill the dumpling with the filling (about 1/2 tbsp) and wet all corners of the wrapped and fold in half. Then, you will fold the right corner right under the left forming a rose bud shape.
Once you start filling and wrapping you should get this beautiful wonton. Now, these wontons are very versatile - you can fry them, pan fry, steam, or boil. I boiled mine because it was the way I wanted to eat them. If you have a preference of the way you want to eat them. Please cook them the way you enjoy.
I really enjoy eating these wontons right away. I typically just dunk the freshly cooked, super hot wontons into the prepared sauce and have them go for a swim. Once you are done, just simple start eating. I promise you, you will enjoy this recipe.
