Satay is a popular Southeast Asian street food that usually involves some type of meat that is skewered and grilled. There are many different variations ranging from marinades, spices, and protein choice. After trying out many recipes I came up with this one. It pays homage to many of my cultural roots. This satay is sure to be a hit!

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken thighs

SEASONING INGREDIENTS:

  • ½ cup kreung

  • 2 tbsp chicken bouillon

  • 1 tsp tumeric powder

  • 1 tsp coriander powder

  • 2 tbsp agave

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 cup coconut milk

  • 6 garlic cloves

  • 1 tbsp sugar

  • 1 tbsp fine chili powder

  • 1 pack of bamboo skewers

Instructions

Prep your chicken by cutting them up into bite sized pieces and mincing your garlic cloves.

In a bowl, add in your bite sized chicken thighs and the seasoning ingredients. Let it marinate for 30-1hr. For the best taste you would want to marinate this overnight.

Once marinated, skewer your meat. Grill. Serve. Enjoy!
